Disarmingly charming, Emma Pierson - Anna the receptionist from Hotel Babylon - talks to Giles McMullen.

She gives us some hints as to what happens between her and boss Charlie in the new series, as well as who might appear in it.

She struggles to recall her time on Grange Hill when she was 16 but lets slip it was full of "razzle-dazzle-tap-shoes stage school children". She says she only stayed for one series because she felt she didn't fit in.
On the subject of fame, Emma admits she has ambitions to act across the pond but adds that you don't normally hear actors talking about life-changing roles they didn't get. She explains how she picks herself up after rejection - just what is the piggy bank technique?

Soon to be married, Emma reassures us that making people laugh is a great way to earn her living.
